VOZ Privacy Policy

This policy explains, in plain language, what information the VOZ app for iPhone handles and what we do with it. We wrote it so that anyone can understand it. If anything is unclear, write to us and we'll be glad to explain.

1. Who we are and scope

VOZ is a reminders app that turns a note into a spoken, personal phrase. The party responsible for processing your data is Olevior, a software company based in Mexico City, Mexico. You can contact us at contact@olevior.com.

This policy applies only to the VOZ app. VOZ has two modes of use that are kept strictly separate:

Local mode (free): works with no account, no internet and no servers. Reminders are created and play entirely on your phone.
Premium mode (subscription): uses natural voices generated in the cloud.

2. What data we handle and why

In Local mode, no data from your reminders leaves your phone. We use no account, no internet and no servers for this mode. The only exception is the private iCloud sync described in point 5, which is stored in your own Apple account.

In Premium mode we handle the following:

Account with "Sign in with Apple": we receive your name and your email. You can hide your email and, in that case, Apple gives us a relay email instead of yours. We use this data only to create your account and keep you signed in.
The reminder text and its settings: when you request a natural voice, the text you write —along with the settings you choose, such as who it is addressed to, the tone, the formal or informal form of address, and the chosen voice— is sent to our backend to generate the audio.

3. Important notice about sensitive data

The text of a reminder can reveal sensitive information about you or another person: for example, health data, medication, schedules, routines or places where you will be. For that reason we treat this text as sensitive information.

We recommend writing only what is necessary. Remember that, in Premium mode, that text is sent to the cloud so it can be turned into voice, as explained in point 4. If you prefer that nothing leave your phone, use Local mode.

4. Third parties that help us (data processors)

To work, VOZ relies only on these companies, and only for what is stated here:

Apple: for "Sign in with Apple", for payments through the App Store, and for syncing with iCloud (CloudKit).
Cloudflare: hosts our backend (Workers), our database (D1), the storage of the audios (R2) and the work queues. The generated audios and the metadata of the generation job are stored there so we can deliver the audio to your phone.
Google: through its Gemini and Gemini TTS services, it converts your reminder text into natural-voice audio. It is involved only in Premium mode and only to generate that audio.

These companies act as processors that handle the data following our instructions and only for the functions described.

5. Syncing with iCloud

Your reminders are stored in the private iCloud database of your own Apple account, so you can sync them across your devices. That information lives within your Apple account and its encryption is managed by Apple.

6. Legal basis for processing

We process your data on these grounds: your consent when you use the features that send information (for example, when you request a natural voice in Premium mode) and the performance of the service you request from us (creating and maintaining your account and delivering the audios you generate), in accordance with the applicable Mexican personal-data protection law.

7. How long we keep data

We keep your account data and the generated audios on the server until you delete your account from the app. Local-mode reminders remain on your phone (and in your private iCloud) for as long as you keep them.

8. Your rights

You can request to access your data, correct it and delete it. The most direct way to delete your information is to use the "Delete account" option inside the app: doing so erases your account data on the server and the data stored on your phone. You can also exercise these rights by writing to us at contact@olevior.com.

9. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information. Local-mode reminders stay on your phone; syncing happens in your private iCloud with encryption managed by Apple; and Premium-mode data is handled on our server at Cloudflare solely to deliver the audio to you. No system is infallible, but we work to reduce the risks.

10. Minors

VOZ is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a minor has sent us personal data, contact us to delete it.

11. Payments handled by Apple

Subscriptions are purchased and managed through Apple (App Store / StoreKit). VOZ neither receives nor stores card or payment data. That information is handled by Apple.

12. No advertising and no tracking

We want to say it clearly: in VOZ there is no advertising, no tracking across apps or sites, no third-party analytics and we do not sell your data.

13. International transfers

Some of our providers (Cloudflare and Google) may process data on servers located in other countries. By using Premium mode, you accept that this information is processed outside Mexico solely to generate and deliver your audio.

14. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will update the "Last updated" date shown below. Significant changes will be announced within the app or on this site.
